This jacket is cooler than your coolest jacket

Sh*t! I want this so bad. The white contrast just really gets me, man.

Springtime!

I was doing some research for work when I stumbled upon all this cuteness from a Brazilian designer. Love!

A shady lane, everybody wants one

I wish I had a bike that I can ride down a shady lane on days like this.

Possibly the cutest couple ever.

I still miss Indie 103

I still miss Indie103.1. On lazy mornings, I just lie in bed and listen to my walkman.

Sunday mornings were the best, because I'd be awake early, but I'd listen to Headtrip with Christian B. The song selections were perfect for Sunday morning in bed. T

hen there were those late nights driving home from meeting a friend, or after a show, and they'd play shoegaze on Sonic Heaven.

Sunday evenings, I'd be home, of course, preparing myself for another work week. I'd listen to Check 1.. 2.. with Mr. Shovel because I love supporting local LA bands. They'd play Everybody Else, Nico Vega, So Many Wizards, Gram Rabbit, The Outline, The Deadly Syndrome, Happy Hollows, the amazing list goes on.

Then there was Jonesy's Jukebox! Which I couldn't listen to at noon since I'd be at work. But I would listen to the rebroadcast at 6. I mean, this is Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols we are listening to. Awesome.

Oh, and does this mean no more free summer concerts at the Hammer Museum? I've seen People in Planes, Silversun Pickups, and Shiny Toy Guns peform there. Loved driving out to Westwood on a summer night.

Til I can get my satisfaction

All this fashion week overdose I started losing interest when I was disappointed with D&G and Gucci after they've been consistently doing so well with their rock&roll inspired collections. They changed it up too much this season and not quite my cup of tea. Then, this morning I saw the new DSquared2 collection and freaked out and got excited again! They too had veered off my taste street for a few collections. But THIS one, omg, THIS one is reminiscent of their SP2004 collection where I fell head over heels in love with them. I would totally rock every outfit in this collection. Oh, and how fun that they had the models walk with a cup of Starbucks. Yay! For lighting my fire again! Love love love....

When I say I'm in luv, you best believe I'm in luv

Drool... Among the many words of wisdom my mom passed on to me, one of the most important lessons she has taught me is: "Never wear fake leather."

Mod-est

I'm so happy that Phillip Lim definitely kicked it up a notch with this collection. I screamed and got so excited with the mod gang. How do you think I would look as a mod? Oh, that hair reminds me of this super mod girl I saw last year at the (I)NC show. She had that hair (in true black, and was dressed super mod). Love mod. I tried the mod look several years ago and it didn't quite work...

Rockmanticist recommended show: Morning Benders

The Morning Benders will play the Troubadour on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009. with the Submarines. Great line up. A must see. If you haven't heard of the Morning Benders yet, better late than never. I truly enjoy their album "Talking Through Tin Cans". It's been a long time since I've really appreciated an album as a whole, and they really did a great job of putting it all together. The transitions, the arrangements. To see them live at such a great intimate venue is a total treat, and tickets are only $12. Hurry before it sells out.
