Yesterday was the Christmas sweater fest at the Echoplex. I wanted to go, but I didn't. Or couldn't. This weekend was crazy busy running errands. Also, I did not have a Christmas sweater to wear. The lineup was awesome though: Deadly Syndrome, Castledoor, Happy Hollows! I love them all! Love! Yes. I love my LA bands for sure. Maybe next year I will wear a super rad sweater and go so I can win. pictures by thecobrasnake
I've been in a major funk lately and the sh*ttiest mood today. Can't really describe it. I need to recharge or something. It's like the stage after your burnt out and having your world rocked again emotionally when you were settling down. Oh, emotions... And I broke my nail last night while bowling. I totally suck at it. Only did it because it's free. Yeah... So somebody... "I'm lost and I need to be found Crazy as it sounds, I need you around"
Random files I had saved on my desktop. Love the looks, right? On black Friday, I went out late in the afternoon and there was so much traffic everywhere, the gas stations had lines, I couldn't even get into the mall parking lot. I just came back home. I decided I would do online shoping and go early in the morning Saturday. It was funny.
I am obsessing over this jacket. So gorgeous. I need it. But I can't afford it. Look at the quality and the tailoring. Drool. And it's so punk rock. I would totally wear it with black skinny jeans and my fav Sid Vicious tee shirt. Or maybe with acid wash jeans. Sigh... Blazer by Beckerman (shopbop.com)
So there is a show called "Frock Me" in the UK, hosted by Alexa Chung and Henry Holland. Creative fashion styles, strutting to live bands like The Kooks, pointy oxford shoes, piano suspenders, drumstick in the hair, omg. Why are there no shows like this in the US? Omg. I love this.
Btw, I told my sister, if we were in a band wearing lots of frocks, I would begin the set by screaming "are you ready to frock & roll?" (of course, I thought of this before ever hearing about this show, ha!)
Oh my stars! I just wanted to say how much I absolutely love Little Radio. For instance, today, they played Becky, Neat Neat Neat, Rockaway Beach, Love Will Tear Us Apart, God Save the Queen, ReadySteadyGo, Buzzcocks, and then some. On other days, they play Morning Benders, Earlimart, Belle&Sebastian, LittleOnes, etc. Good music makes me so incredibly happy! Thanks, Little Radio!!!!
Sometimes I fantasize about being in a glam rock glitter hair band. They still do exist. I stumbled upon their music video one day, and I yelled "Please! Tell me they really do dress like that and this is not some cheesy concept video!!!!" and yes, this is a modern hair band from Mexico called Moderatto. I love it. I really need to learn how to do my eye makeup like him.
If you're one of those millions of girls currently obsessing over the Balmain Spring 09 collection... You can get a head start and buy these bleached jeans (on sale!) by Corpus at Urban outfitters. You're welcome.
